Billing representatives are located at the pharmacy and not at distant centralized location. The assigned billing representative remains the personal point of contact for explaining bills, making updates and adjustments, and addressing issues-whatever staff members from your facility require. Additionally SMS LTC uses a retrospective billing process and on-line electronic adjudication to determine coverage status prior to billing for products. With a retrospective billing process, facilities experience additional cost savings since they are responsible for only medications that have been administered to residents.
